The Vineyard Year
Sequence the growing season and the decisions that shape the finished wine. Put budbreak, véraison, harvest and the cellar in their right order, and see how each move constrains the next.

Budbreak to Flowering
Winter ends and the vine wakes. Budbreak sets the clock; flowering fixes the potential crop. Everything that follows is shaped by how cleanly the vine moves through these first weeks.

Véraison to Ripening
Berries change colour, soften and accumulate sugar. The window opens for the grower's first real decisions: crop thinning, leaf pulling, managing the canopy to expose or shade the fruit.

Harvest
The judgement call. Pick early for tension and freshness, later for weight and ripeness. The moment chosen here writes itself into acid, alcohol and flavour for the rest of the wine's life.

Decisions in the Cellar
Once the grapes are in, a second sequence begins: pressing, fermentation, extraction, maturation. Each step answers a question the vineyard asked, and each answer changes the finished glass.
